Monthly lovely live leftfield extravaganzas at AMP STUDIOS, Old Kent Road (London); and DALTONS, Madeira Drive, Lower Promenade (Brighton).

The year was 2016! The setting was Vinyl Deptford! The sound was a mechanism for musical eclecticism!

On 9th January 2016, Simon of Yorkshire founded Intox Extravaganza, initially because no other sod would give him a gig.

Since swooping in and out of various nests across London and the South-East, we roosted at Amp Studios in 2021 to proffer lovely live leftfield extravaganzas (hinged on imagination, innovation, energy and diversity – of every kind) on the second Thursday of every month.

Beyond that, we have hosted a weekend-long Winter Festival (featuring SEAMING TO, ARCH FEMMESIS, RUDE MECHANICALS and many many many more) at our beloved Amp Studios.

AND NOW, commencing September 26th, 2024, we are beyond thrilled to have found the perfect sister venue in Brighton: DALTONS…fully accessible and slap-bang on the fucking beach. Lovely live leftfield music will leap from legions of incredible artists; atop vivacious visuals and dope DJs – we will celebrate diverse forms of experimental/avant-garde music and performance at the water’s edge.

Alongside organiser and curator SIMON YORKSHIRE, the Intox team includes sound engineer NIK-THE-DEKS, VJ CHRIS ESSEX and NORMULA DJs.
